Between 4 & 7 the corner of the pub is habited by a scurrilous crew and for a week I happily joined them. The conversation is varied and the repartee is sharp. There are few rules but they include: Make the comment biting but in jest. Be witty. Take your turn buying rounds. Know that it is all good fun and learn. Unless you’re leaving, it is poor form to refuse. And hats off to the barkeeps Mick, Martin, Daniel and John with whom I had some very good conversations, who have to remember who has a pint in their Que.
I always felt not only welcomed but included and hope my sudden departure due to a change in schedule and the early delivery of needed medication was not seen as an affront. So cheers to Mick, both of them, Gary, Allen, the demure Hazel and her dad BK who was so surprised when I first arrived and greeted him by name not understanding how I could remember him, Andy who’s Plockton Ales are so good I’m almost grateful that they are not available in the States and it’s probably a good thing that I left before the new IPA was tapped, Jim, Roger, Peter and my friend the Energizer Bunny, Curley. I’m thinking of switching to his diet for long life!
Apologies to anyone I overlooked.
And proof of the quality of Plockton Brewery’s product.
The local music session was brilliant as always and as soon as I can figure out how to add video to a post I’ll share.

Finally, able to see pics of crew that you were looking forward to seeing, sounds like you fit right in.
