From Carradale, the new baby’s uncle was going to Campbeltown in the AM and so he gave me a lift. The 35 mile or so bus ride back to Oban was pleasant and from there I took another to Dalmally where I had a room at the Craig Villa Guest House. Not a lot going on in Dalmally and I’m guessing that is a selling point. I climbed a hill by the Rail station to the Duncan Ban MacIntyre Monument. For some reason I lost the photo of the monument but still have the view.
Sheep are big business in Scotland much to McIntyre’s ire as he was opposed to the clearances. But big business needs big tools. I have no idea how many sheep fit in the double or triple level transport, but it is a lot.
