Dunnet Head

by WBlackwell on December 21, 2016

Now I have two under my belt.  A few years ago I was able to go to the lighthouse at Ardnamurchan (I’ve actually been there twice), the most western point of the main island of Britain. Only as far as Penzance in Cornwall so I still need to return for Lizard Point.  I’ve been near the eastern most point, Keith Inch (or Peterhead depending on how you mark it) when I was in Aberdeen and now Dunnet Head ( not John O’ Groats).

It was a brilliant but seriously windy day, I could barely get the cab door open.  Without a car it would have been beyond stupid to attempt to walk to the point from the closest bus stop.  Only 3 miles, which in better weather I would have tackled but the wind was way to powerful. And considering that I’m still using the bus pass from Edinburgh, I figured the £25 that Mick charged was in the budget and fair.

And to maki]e it official he took my photo for proof.
