The beach at this point on the coast is relatively flat witha gap in the the high cliffs that are in other parts. If no one is shooting at you this would be a great holiday spot. There seems to be abundant shellfish as the remaining Mulberries were covered with mussels.
Yes, that is a farm tractor with trailer hauling out a boat!!
The strata seen on this cliff face are made up of not rock but a hard clay.
The sea wall provided great cover for German troops.
Breaking a piece off of one of the Mulberries would have been sacrilegious, but a couple pieces found amid other rocks near the remains of a shattered one were merely flotsam.

We’ll I finally caught up with you on your Wandering With Me, I have had work done on my computer.
And a couple of book marks that I had disappeared.
I am sure Normandy is and incredible place. And I am sure it was very emotional.
Your long days on the road tire me out. However, it is nice to know there still good people on the
road and pick up strangers. You always seem to find some very interesting characters.
And Mulberries I had never heard of them. Love the idea there is a lot of shellfish around. Were
you able to have some kind of shellfish dish in that area?
Happy travels. H
So glad to see you are posting. Normandy must have been incredible. Great photos. And
you seem to do very well hitching a ride. Gives you more faith in humanity, that people will
still stop. And you have met some very interesting people. Loved the beach. Never heard
of Mulberries (sp?) If there is so much shellfish around, did you par take in any local shellfish
dishes?
Look forward to next stop. H
