Inside St. David’s

Like all old cathedrals and churches in Britain, this one was once  Catholic.  King Henry VIII changed that and now they are Anglican.

Tomb of Edward Tudor father of King Henry VII.  It is because of this tomb the cathedral was maintained, not destroyed

If memory serves, this is the Lady Chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mother.  When I saw the Lady chapel in Liverpool, I thought it a bit sexist. You know one for women.  I can be such a dolt.

And I think there was one an image of King Henry VII here, not a ghost.  It shows much clearer in photos than in person.

This is a seat in the choir.  It looks tiny but what you see is a place to rest when standing.  The actual seat folds out.  This particular one is reserved for when Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II is in attendence.

Usually I show ceilings but this time the floor caught the eye.  The photo can’t show how it tilts
