A storm delayed the start of my trip for a few hours at Logan but then we seemed to make up some time with a tail wind. Landed in Glasgow and headed to the Queen Street Station. The spectacular West Highland Line heads to Oban. The storm that proceeded me to Scotland had filled every burn to overflow and they rushed down in magnificent torrents. At one station stop I mentioned to the conductor that the water in a flooded area nearly met the track. “Loch Occasionally it is” he replied. Normally a 2 meter stream it was now a good 100′ (30 meters) wide. You could see that a storm had recently hit Oban. FYI. When I show a photo or mention by name somewhere I stay, you can assume that it is a nice place. One I would return to. If there is no photo or mention of the name, it is because it was dreck. And my Momma taught be that if you can’t say something nice…
Look what the storm blew in
