Today I was hoping to go way up to the mast where I took the photo on my website’s opening page but one should only do that on a dry, clear day to make the journey safer and the view better. It being neither dry nor sunny I opted for a walk in the woods on the other side of the harbor.
One often sees rock faces covered with metal netting to prevent injury from falling pieces like you can see through the train underpass.
Whenever I wander the trails in this part of Heaven, I keep a constant lookout for magical creatures. The moses, old growth trees and quietness make it seem that if they exist, it would be here.
At this point you can pass through a gate to the Castle but the path was closer to a stream than a footpath. A few meters on there is a dry road but having been there a couple of times in the past and feeling a little sore with the yet to be identified leg/groin injury, I returned the way I came.
The open-air church or preaching place at Plockton, Wester Ross, was one of several set up in the north west Highlands following the Disruption of 1843, when the Church of Scotland split over the rights of parishioners – rather than landowners – to choose their ministers.
No pews, no altar, no gold yet I bet the Creator hears the prayers of petitioners here as was well as it does those from Masjid al-Haram or the Vatican.
