by WBlackwell on May 12, 2018

Holding one of the largest collection of art outside Paris, this seemed like a good place to get out of the rain. I’m writing this post from memory  due to the download issues.  Most of the  trip is written in CT nearly 2 months after.

I believe this sculpture is of a sculptor.

Alfred Smith – The Embankments of Bordeaux

Paul Rubens – The Miracle of St. Justus

1873, Zanzibar.  Heading to America!

Michael de Montagne.

Henri Bouillon – Cupid Fleeing from Poverty

Eugene Buland – The Heirs

Jules Blanchard – A Discovery

Hercules

Diana

Joshua Reynolds – Portrait of Richard Robinson

A. Barye – Theseus saying a Minator

Rinaldo Carnielo – Mozart Expiring

Alfred Dehodencq – The Prince Piscicelli

Maximilien Bourgeois – Mercury

Jupiter

Evariste Luminais – Gaulish Scouts

Eugene Isabey – Fire on the Steamer Austria

This is the Bordeaux Wine Museum.  I got no closer
