WANDERING
A wandrin’ Sco’land with Wiile B

He hae no time to take no pee

An’ tho the rain may smite h’ face

He wi’ not slow his chosen pace

For his mind is set upon a place

His pack be light ‘n’ stride be strong

And to h’ self he hum a song

For many mo’ he lay a plan

To drink in much o’ thee ancient lan’

To see ‘n’ smell ‘n’ touch wi’ han’

‘n’ when h’ reach a place I think

He will hae hi’self a wee sma drink

Then tuck into a steamin’ haggis

Tha’s as much as my guess is

.’n’ finally hae that needed wiz

Than at last he take his rest

In morn h’ rise ‘n’ fill h’ chest

W’ the great clear air h’ think is fair

Pull on h’ boots ‘n’ outer wear

‘n’ begin again w’out no fear

H’ walk ‘n’ talk ‘n’ talk ‘n’ walk

H’ walk ‘n’ talk but wi’ nae sulk

‘n’ in the end will hae h’ desires

Great lochs, castles ‘n’ peat fires

Plain folk, tourists ‘n’ Scottish liars

‘n’ at last h’ wan’rings end

‘n’ once more I’ll gree’ me friend

H’ll hae great photos o’ every hall

O’ every sight he will recall

Oh dear God please help us all.
