So #29 is still out there.
I don’t pay much attention to store windows but this caught my eye. My first thought was they were for throwing like the foam ‘bad-call’ bricks, but I think they’re for your dog. Johnson? Trump? Hard to tell but neither are liked in most of Scotland Both have been very insulting to many Scots.
So wrong town and therefore not my target but a very friendly pub about .5 from the station. Funny thing when I was giving change for my beer, the barkeep handed me a coin back that was not a GBP. Turned out to be a Susan B Anthony 1979 US dollar! Pretty close in size to a 50p coin I must have gotten it in change. OAP next to me spoke how his son was a collector so I gave it to him. Later I thought maybe the barkeep was hoping for it. Oops.
Next up, Cambuslang, old #27. Nearest pub is the Black Bull. A nice, social group inside.
Coming in at #25 with 32000 folks is Rutherglen. A very impressive Town Hall & Community Center. A great tower and from the other side those lion heads! Rainspouts? Structural support covers?
Very Local 1 & done
As you leave the train station into town a little local pride is shown.
From the platform appeared this rabbit, which I rarely see in the UK and I think the last was at The Lizard, seems to be eating green gorse leaves?!?
Finished today’s crawl at The Solid Rock on Hope. Next to Denholm’s . St Mungo was ok but not at £2.45 for half. I paid £1.65 for Caledonia Best all day (or $2.15 ) That guy needs a trim.
