The view of the harbor is brilliant
If you head away from the town on the Corran Esplanade one of the first things of note is this WWI memorial.
And maybe the tiniest lighthouse ever!
Covid leftover could be a nice place for tea.
Handrails on streets like this or Garnett in Glasgow, are appreciated.
John Stuart McCaig built a Tower that sits like a crown over the harbor. Some call it McCraig’s Folly but when a guy spends his own money to build a monument to his family whilst employing unemployed stonemasons, folly is too harsh. John’s plans had called for a tower to be erected in the center with a museum and art gallery. Unfortunately McCraig died before completion and his family was more interested in his money than his legacy.
I always smile back at the lovely lady & her mates on the wall of the Oban Chocolate Factory.
