On the road again

Never forget the 6 P’s!

And yet I booked a flight to Europe today that lands Sunday in the glorious capital of Scotland. I have 60+ days left on my UK passport allowance (expires 13, 12. 17 or Dec. 13 for us Yanks.) and the cheapest flights are to the UK & Europe go through Edinburgh from New England so I’ll start there.

Since I was there not too long ago I’m heading to Glasgow for four nights straight away. Loved the capital from the first visit in 2003 but as I learn more about Glasgow I love that city more every visit and even though I don’t know a soul in either one I’m comfortable in either. From Queen Street Station  I’m inclined to wander in a southerly path for a bit.

Past unposted videos are being added to my new “Bill Blackwell”‘s YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDOTWnFxCqIwBEt8ostogLw and also added to the appropriate older posts.  New ones will be added moving forward.

I hope to bump into this handsome bloke wandering his city.

Am I insane to travel like this? Or just insane regardless, before anyone points that out.

Poland. Czech Republic. Austria. Slovakia. Croatia. Malta.
Anyone been to any of them? Advice? What’s the weather like in Malaga in January? Will a visit to Gibraltar trigger my next annual UK allotment? If so I should save 2 days to finish there before this year’s is up.

Ireland does the 90 in 90 out program but those numbers don’t effect the EU 90/90. Some of the Balkans have there own separate 90/90 too so as long as I pay attention, this could be the longest wander yet with 80 days the current mark.

Bill! Went to Poland on a school trip (Got to love Strathclyde Regional Council…!) in 1980, when it was still communist. Warsaw, Poznan and Krakow – Warsaw (esp Old Town) and Krakow were, as I recall, beautiful. Plenty of history – Poland once a very powerful country in Europe.
It was a youth exchange trip of sorts – a bunch of Poles came to Glasgow the following year and we showed them a good time. Dunno what it’s like now but I gather it’s pretty good and welcoming.
Wherever you decide to go will be just fine – as long as you take in Glasgow and Plockton.
See you soon!
