St David’s Chancery

Catholics would call it a rectory.  We met the Reverend Canon Eileen Davis in the Cathedral, a good friend of Sarah’s, she invited us to tea. What a treat!  Eileen also has about 300 in her flock.  Her flock of sheep  that is, for she and her husband are farmers.  I am sure her other flock is much greater. And her strong Welch accent is most delightful!  Possibly my favorite sounding English accent I have ever heard in the UK and I have been in all 4 countries now.

The house, I think, always has a Reverand Canon in residence on a rotating basis. It would be a real revenue generator if rented out for conferences etc and as it takes some £2200 a day to maintain the Cathedral and parish (all thru donation as they get no support from the government) any little bit would help.
