Just up the road from Arbroath is the fishing village of Stonehaven. It has the most protected harbour on the east coast and is often seen on calendars of Scotland.
There are a number of these sculpturs along the harbor walk
From the harbor I began the 2 1/2 mile walk to Dunnottar Castle passing steep cliffs and a WWI memorial.
Memorial is accessed via a sheep gate. Their bodies are too long to get through
Gorse, with it’s coco-butter aroma, normally dosen’t flower this time of year but has been unseasonably warm for weeks.
