Another cracking’ day and a chance of adding two more Scottish islands to my bag. Up to 24 now! I had watched the World Stone Skimming Contest that happens on Easdale on TV. To get there was a nice bus ride to Seil and then a wee ferry.
The CalMac ferry is a big boat. But Mull is a big island.
I don’t know if he scares birds but I was a wee bit nervous.
The Ferry to Easdale
I like the homeowner’s sense of decorative whimsey.
And here I thought they were on Easter Island not Easdale Island!
There’s the range
The contestant stands on that flat rock and sees how many skips can be gotten. I managed eleven.
I’ve seen many of these postboxes with caps but this is the first lighted
Another good pub
Best chippie I’ve ever tasted
Never see good ciders that don’t cost an arm & leg Stateside but there are a few good ones in Scotland. High test too. K is my favorite. Knights got no complaint. That’s a massive deep fired haggis and tender fish on the chips.
This is on the chippie wall and the owner appreciated that I appreciated it.
