Opened in 1898 the People’s Palace & Winter Garden was created to provide a cultural center for the common people. The glasshouse gave comfort and hope during the winter and the museum is an eclectic gathering of all things Glasgow.
Outside stands the Doulton Fountain, the largest terra-cotta fountain in the world.
